Jorja Smith Drops Amapiano Inspired Single ‘All Of This’

Jorja Smith has dropped amapiano inspired single 'All Of This'.

The South African sound is arguably this summer's biggest trend, taking social media by storm.

In the UK, it's being blended in afro-house and funky sets, quickly spinning off into its own myriad of hybrid sounds.

In keeping with that UK funky flavour, Jorja Smith's new single blends her soulful vocals with that percussive amapiano sound.

GuiltyBeatz is on production, while Jorja's velvet delivery is sheer magic from start to finish. Yes, it's a lot more commercial than those amapiano bangers, but it's done right – there's a lot of respect for the sound, while taking it in an individual direction.

Jorja comments…

“I met [Guilty] when I went over to Port Antonio in Jamaica for a writing camp in 2019. He’s so wonderful to work with and when we initially started the song, it was more a fall to the floor type beat. He’s shared Amapiano playlists with me before and then during the first lockdown in 2020, he sent me a version of the song like it is now. We then finished writing the song remotely, exchanging messages over WhatsApp with his girlfriend Abby who is also a writer.”

“It’s all about someone who doesn't deserve you and thinking wow, you really had all of my once, ew.”

The new single follows Jorja Smith's eight track 'Be Right Back' EP – check out 'All Of This' below.

Catch Jorja Smith at London's All Points East on August 27th.
