Jonah Yano and Clairo combine on beautiful new song ‘Snowpath’.
Out now, the song is the final preview of Jonah’s incoming album, with ‘Jonah Yano & The Heavy Loop’ set to be released on Friday (October 4th).
Clairo is a close friend of the Montreal songwriter, and dropped past the studio – in rural Ontario, as it happens – during sessions for the album.
Invited to collaborate, her whispered, feather-soft vocal on ‘Snowpath’ perfectly completes the song.
Recorded as snow fell outside, there’s a tender sense of chemistry at play on the song, as though two old friends are catching up.
Reminiscent at times of the palette which adorned Clairo’s own feast of intimacy ‘Sling’, ‘Snowpath’ equally exists in its own world.
