It's 12 tracks of visceral garage punk...
'Spencer Sings The Hits!'

Jon Spencer has outlined plans for new solo album 'Spencer Sings The Hits!'.

The underground legend has worked with Pussy Galore, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and more, building up an imposing, singular catalogue.

'Spencer Sings The Hits!' is the guitarist's first proper solo record, and found Jon Spencer travelling to Benton Harbor, MI, to work with Bill Skibbe at the Key Club Recording Company studio.

Help comes from Sam Coomes and M. Sord, with the resulting 12 tracks channelling some quicksilver garage punk thrills.

Sludge-enhanced new track 'Do The Trash Can' is online now, and the title is a giveaway - they really do use the contents of a trash can for percussion.

“Nothing like digging the gas tank from an old Chevy out of a Michigan junkyard snow bank in January,” laughs Spencer. “The junkyard owner kept asking me if the metal was for a school project, but as a bluegrass player he could understand the possible use for a recording session.”

Tune in now,
