Jon Hopkins Shares Delicate, Moving New Piece ‘Scene Suspended’

His new tour kicks off shortly...

Jon Hopkins has shared his new piano composition 'Scene Suspended' – tune in now.

The composer is best known for his electronic work, but has long harboured a desire to work with the piano.

Playing a charity show for War Child, this 'unplugged' performance has evolved into his new Polarity project.

Working with the piano, Jon Hopkins has shared his sparse, delicate new piece 'Scene Suspended'.

Emerging from a spontaneous improvisation, the track utilises only snippets of piano and violin.

Recorded at London’s Air Studios, then augmented with violin arrangements performed by Emma Smith, it maintains a beautifully taut sense of balance.

Tune in now.
