Johnny Marr lends his guitar work to the soundtrack of forthcoming film ‘The Sweeney’.
Parting company with The Cribs last year, Johnny Marr has put the space in his schedule to good work. Launching a number of new projects, the guitarist recently signed up for a spot of film work.
Legendary British crime series ‘The Sweeney’ is set to be re-worked, with Ray Winstone and Plan B amongst the cast members.
Set to premiere later this year, the film will feature Johnny Marr on the soundtrack. Lending his unmistakable guitar skills to the score, you can sample the Lornes Balfe composition ‘Regan’s Beginning’ below. (via Pitchfork)

Of course, this isn’t the first time Johnny Marr has worked on a film soundtrack. Previously, the guitarist offered his skills to Christopher Nolan for his critically acclaimed feature ‘Inception’.
