Johnny Flynn, Robert MacFarlane Detail New LP ‘The Moon Also Rises’

It's out on November 10th...

Johnny Flynn and Robert MacFarlane have shared details of new album ‘The Moon Also Rises’.

The two are close friends, collaborating on excellent 2021 album ‘Lost In The Cedar Wood’. Released to outstanding acclaim, the duo then performed the LP as a ‘story-song’ for a UK tour.

Continually swapping ides, Johnny Flynn and Robert MacFarlane have sculpted something new. Out on November 10th, ‘The Moon Also Rises’ touches on shared themes of our relationship to nature, our surroundings.

Partly recorded in an old Methodist chapel – which is also now the home of Johnny and Rob’s friends, Cosmo and Flora Sheldrake – the record feels broader in scope than its esteemed forebear.

The duo state:

“We brought together a large band of friends. It felt like we were celebrating being together as much as making music. That spirit of artistic community and collaboration, of sharing and learning and growing, is at the heart of all the work we make together.”

New song ‘Uncanny Valley’ is online now – tune in below.
