Johnny Borrell to host Xfm show

Razorlight frontman for station’s Sunday Service

Razorlight’s commander in chief, Johnny Borrell has agreed to host Xfm’s Sunday Service, following a month long stint with the station earlier this year.

The show, which starts on the 6th of September, promises to play “songs they don’t play on the radio”. Perhaps Borrell will seize this as an opportunity to play material from Razorlight’s underperforming third album ‘Slipway Fires’.

“Xfm are the only station who would let me play Buju Banton next to Allen Ginsberg within the same show. It’s going to be one hour each night of the songs they don’t play on the radio” said Borrell.

Xfm group program director, Paul Jackson, added that he is “looking forward to seeing what Johnny does with the show and which tracks he chooses”

Borrell’s show will be available on Xfm’s London and Manchester stations and across the nation on DAB.
