John Lydon has crafted an unusual picture book documenting his life from birth to the present day.
John Lydon has led a rather unusual life. From punk pioneer to butter salesman, the frontman has never shied away from speaking his mind, however uncomfortable those around him feel with his views.
Lead singer with The Sex Pistols, John Lydon later formed Public Image Limited. Dumbfounding fans with their mixture of rock, dub, free jazz and more PiL became one of the most influential groups of their generation.
Reforming last year, PiL were funded by John Lydon’s notorious appearance in a butter advert. Working entirely independently, the group were able to tour the world in celebration of the classic album ‘Metal Box’.
Now John Lydon has crafted a new picture book documenting important moments in his life. An exclusive, limited edition, photographic book, documenting his life in pictures only a few hundred will be made available.
The catch? Each edition costs £379.
Alongside the photos John Lydon has supplied quotes to illuminate the book. As a special bonus to fans, the singer has designed a centrefold, with an exclusive 12 inch picture disc containing live recordings and spoken-word outtakes from John Lydon containing Mr Rotten’s Nursery Rhymes.
It should be pointed out, though, that John Lydon already has an autobiography on the shelves. ‘Rotten: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs’ is a classic rock tome, although it does stop with the collapse of The Sex Pistols.
