John Foxx & The Maths are set to release their new album ‘The Shape Of Things’ on March 19th.
One of the founding fathers of British electronic music, John Foxx appears to have been rejuvenated of late. The producer has a studio in London, which he and his collaborator Benge use to participate in vivid sonic experiments.
Clearly entering a productive streak, John Foxx & The Maths are set to release their new album ‘The Shapes Of Things’ on March 19th. The second album from this collective, ‘The Shapes Of Things’ is a more reflective offering than last year’s ‘Interplay’ set.
Metamatic Records – Foxx’s own imprint – will handle the release, which will be followed by a one off show in Brighton.
Taking place next month, John Foxx & The Maths will expand to include two artists who are well respected in their own right: – Serafina Steer (Keyboards, Bass) and Hannah Peel(Keyboards, Violin).
John Foxx & The Maths are set to play the following show:

Just for fun, here’s a few quotes about the impact John Foxx has had:
JUNIOR BOYS: ‘ I have never felt that there was a music that reached into my unconscious quite like John Foxx’s’.
XENO & OAKLANDER: ‘I love the unexpected violence of Foxx’s ‘Burning Car’. Very urban, contemporary and apocalyptic. Metamatic is so fundamental as an influence on so much – from synthpop, New Romantic, industrial dance, EBM, et al – its consequences are far reaching and still being felt.’
KLAXONS: ‘John Foxx’s Metamatic is an amazing, visionary album.’
