Joey LaBeija Returns with ‘less than three’

The Bronx-born polymath takes his own spin on alternative R&B...

Joey LaBeija is turning a new page with his latest single, ‘less than three’.

Venturing towards a more shadowy, underground palette of sounds, the Bronx-born producer, vocalist, DJ and music director crafts a multi-faceted listen. Carried by its magnetic guitar loops, the artist immerses his ethereal vocal delivery amongst distortion and warped drum patterns. The result is magnetic, an addictive track that discovers its own definition of alternative R&B.

Working closely with the likes of Mowalola and piecing together DJ sets for Frank Ocean, LaBeija fuses together the worlds of forward-thinking fashion and music. A catalyst for cross-genre experimentation on the dancefloor, the artist continues to mould his own universe, sharing slick, intimate visuals to accompany his latest release.

In conversation, Joey LaBeija reaches into the core of ‘less than three’, one that’s “about appreciating the beauty found in the pain of letting go.”

Tune in now.
