Joesef has shared new short film ‘Permanent Damage: Live From Apartment 22’.
The Glasgow songwriter released his powerful debut album ‘Permanent Damage’ this year, soaring into the Top 20 during the week of release. Clash wrote at the time:
An artist who continually confronts his own emotions, ‘Permanent Damage’ finds Joesef heightening his intentions, and magnifying his aspirations. He’s manifesting pop greatness, and few would bet against him.
Kicking off his UK tour with a sold out night in Glasgow, Joesef plays London’s historic Roundhouse venue on March 19th. In the run up to this, he’s just shared a new short film, a bold and beautiful performance.
The stripped back rendering casts the material from ‘Permanent Damage’ in a new light, placing Joesef’s extraordinary voice front and centre. He comments…
“Live from apartment 22 felt like a natural continuation from the videos me and Luis had made together for the permanent damage album. It felt right to strip the songs a little, and to have myself and the band in a confined and close space playing the songs. The gaff was fucking freezing but we tried our best. I’m having too much fun with the release so far, more to come!”
Tune in now.
