Glaswegian singer-songwriter Joesef has shared new EP, ‘Permanent Damage (Live At 45)’, marking one year since the release of his acclaimed debut full-length.
The live EP features ad-hoc, intimately-arranged renderings of ‘Apartment 22’, ‘Just Come With Me Tonight’, ‘East End Coast’ and ‘It’s Been A Little Heavy Lately’. The commemorative collection is a road map of Joesef’s live musicianship and the communal reach of his soul-stirring songs: the singer played 24 sold-out headline shows in the UK, Europe and North America, joined Jungle on their USA tour, and graced the stages of Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, All Points East and Montreux Jazz Festival.
Of the EP, Joesef says: “I wanted to make this to give the album more of a definitive send off. It represents for me now one the most formative periods of life I’ve experienced yet. Making ‘Permanent Damage’ was quite a lonely experience, but to be on the other side of it now I’ve felt nothing but community with the people who’ve brought it to life in more ways than I ever could. It’s for anyone whose supported me along the way until I’m ready to share what’s next.”
