The work of Joe Strummer & The Mescalaros is set to be re-issued later this year.
Emerging from a prolonged period in the wilderness, Joe Strummer's work with the Mescalaros sparked a wonderful late career swansong. Experimenting with new styles from around the world, the Mescalaros retained the punk edge which Joe Strummer added to everything he touched.
With the tenth anniversary of the singer's death approaching, the band's two studio albums are set to be re-issued. 'Global A-Go-Go' and 'Streetcore' will be packaged on CD and double vinyl, with Hellcat Records set to re-release the albums on September 25th. Alongside the original material, each album will come packaged with rarities. 'Global A-Go-Go' gains an additional live cut, while 'Streetcore' benefits from a host of B-sides, live versions, covers and more.
