Joe Lean – Cancelled!

Album Pulled At Band's Request

Fans of Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong will have to wait a little longer to hear their debut album – the band have forced its release to be cancelled at their own request.

The self-titled debut album was due to be released on August 4th, with promo copies having already been sent out to journalists. Indeed, certain publications have already printed reviews of the album. All of which is a pain in the neck for the Clash Magazine designers, who will now have to slot another album review in its place at the last minute. Sigh…

According to reports the band were unhappy with the album as it was recorded a too early a juncture in their career – they simply felt that it didn’t represent the musicians they have now become.

Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong will now head back into the studio later this year to re-record the album, with a release date of early-2009 mooted by the band’s label, Vertigo.

The band have yet to pick a new producer to help them re-record the album.
