Hard living country troubadour Joe Ely is set to return with a new live album, released on his own label on June 9th.
Ely is a renowned live performer, well known for putting his heart and soul into every performance. The country singer was recently given the “Lifetime Achievement Award For Live Performance” by the Americana Music Association after a lifetime of hard rockin’.
Joe Ely’s latest documentary album is a typically lively mixture of country, rockabilly and tex-mex rhythms. Titled “Live Cactus”, it was recorded in December 2006 at the Cactus Cafe in Austin, Texas. Joining Ely on the album is one of the world’s premiere accordion players Joel Guzman, and up and coming singer Ryan Bingham will also make a guest appearance.
Joe Ely’s “Live Cactus” will be released on June 9th.
