joan’s ‘Tokyo’ Is A Swaggering Pop Gem

It's an 80s tinged bittersweet belter...

Arkansas pop newcomers joan have shared bright, buoyant, and slightly bittersweet new track 'Tokyo'.

The duo have released just two tracks online to date, and recently played their first British date – a tiny London show.

New release 'Tokyo' proves that this opening salvo is no fluke, with gated synthsn and shuddering drum machines channelling 80s pop excess.

Born from the blissful opening chapters of love, 'Tokyo' reeks of endless optimism yet at times displays a slight bittersweet touch.
