American chanteusse Joanna Newsom is set for a very special visit to the UK when she plays performs in the courtyard of Somerset House on July 20th.
Fresh from a very special Australian performance in the Sydney Opera House, this gig promises to be something special. It has been two year’s since Newsom’s bewitching second album “Ys” was released to incredible acclaim, scoring perfect marks in nearly every magazine and website around. A singular talent, Newsom marries her incredible voice to gentle melodies picked out on her pedal harp.
Someset House is a spectacular building on the south side of The Strand in central London. Built in the 18th century, it was extended by Victorian architects in an intimidating example of Neoclassical architecture.
Joanna Newsom is set to play Somerset House on July 20th, tickets are on sale from today (June 12th).
