"Possessive behaviour is a curse, can't you see...?"

Jimothy Lacoste channels UK Garage on new single 'Getting Talkative' - tune in now.

The London artist is currently packing his bags for an Australian tour alongside Rejjie Snow, but he's found time to hop back into the studio.

New single 'Getting Talkative' is his first official release of 2019, and it features the lingering influence of UK Garage.

There are definitely traces of The Streets' halcyon early releases at play, with production being handled by Jimothy, Toddla T, and Harley & Ferg.

Lyrically, Jimothy urges proper communication, warning: "Possessive behaviour is a curse, can't you see...?"

It's a neat fusion, with his clipped vocals working against the subtle piano chords and that 2-step rhythm.

Tune in now.
