Limited edition photo book due

Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has revealed that his new book will cost £445.

Jimmy Page is one of rock’s most iconic guitarists. Forming Led Zeppelin, his thundering riffs propelled the band to stardom. With a career spanning five decades the musician has now decided to pen his autobiography.

Moving from session work to Led Zeppelin, rock stardom to life as the genial old man of rock Jimmy Page has led a stunning career. To capture the fast moving pace of his life the guitarist has decided to use photographs with only a few words.

Containing more than 650 images, Jimmy Page’s forthcoming book will tell his unique story with only a few words. Running to more than 500 pages, the new tome will be kept to a strictly limited edition.

Due for release through Genesis Publications, each book will be signed by the guitarist. An instant collector’s item, the self-titled autobiography will be released in a batch of just 2500 copies.

However there is a catch for being part of rock history. The price for the luxurious autobiography has been set at a whopping £445 – capable of buying the entire Led Zeppelin back catalogue four times over.

Meanwhile, fellow Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant is also set to get busy. His group Band Of Joy are preparing to release their new album, the singer’s follow up to his Grammy award winning duet with Alison Krauss.

The follow up to ‘Raising Sand’, Robert Plant’s new album will be followed by a series of British shows.

Of the remaining Led Zeppelin members, John Paul Jones is close to completing a new album with Them Crooked Vultures. Due out later this year, the album will no doubt be another shuddering rock juggernaut.
