Jimmy Edgar x Machinedrum Pair Off

Listen to a quick preview

Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum have posted a quick preview of their upcoming JETS project.

2012 has been marked by several high profile collaborations. Joy Orbison and Boddika have spent the bulk of the year swapping ideas, while HudMo and Lunice paired off to construct mental club bangers under the TNGHT banner.

Now Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum have decided to buddy up. Using the JETS moniker, the pair have been steadily stockpiling material with a self-titled EP set to be released via Leisure System on October 29th.

This afternoon (October 1st) Machinedrum pointed fans towards a quick preview. Opening with warm, House textures and snare drum cracks, the bass flow soon gives way to a chattering vocal sample which betrays a hip hop influence. Difficult to place, 'Lock Lock Ket' seems geared entirely towards the dancefloor and sits in between Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum's respective solo output.
