The news has been confirmed though multiple sources, with friends and collaborators paying their respects online. At the time of publishing no cause of death has been confirmed.

Jevon was brought up in the Midlands, his Black-Brazilian heritage framing the myriad influences in his work. A noted collaborator, he produced beats for Nines’ ‘One Foot Out’ album and contributed to XL’s 2017 ‘New Gen’ compilation.
Spending much of his formative years in Coventry, Jevon worked closely with Pa Salieu, their cross-genre approach resulting in some fantastic releases.

It was his own ‘Fell In Love In Brasil’ however that stands as Jevon’s crowning achievement. Released in 2021, it was a work of complex immediately, splicing together strands of UK rap, sound system culture, and his extensive Brazilian heritage.
A revealing, emotional, but frequently buoyant album, ‘Fell In Love In Brasil’ is a cult favourite, helping to create trans-Atlantic connections between the UK and Brazil.
CLASH profiled Jevon soon after its release for our PLTFRM series, an honest interviewee who reflected on losing his early years to the streets, and his abiding passion for production. ” I was always the guy reading the credits on the album sleeve. I take bits I love from all my favourite producers and put them into a blender. I love nostalgic sounds like Timbaland, he’s a clear influence on me; Kanye is a big influence in terms of sampling; I love Pharrell’s use of chord progressions, it’s left-field and you can always identify a Pharrell beat. I’m drawn to old school 90s RnB production.”
