Jessie Ware To Be Given Nordoff Robbins Award

'Devotion' singer to be honoured

Jessie Ware is set to be honoured by Nordoff-Robbins at the O2 Silver Clef Awards.

A music therapy charity, the Nordoff-Robbins organisation remain close to the heart of all at Clash. Responsible for some truly vital and utterly touching work, the charity also honours new talent.

Returning once again, the O2 Silver Clef Awards are set to feature a host of big names. Jessie Ware will be amongst them, with the 'Devotion' singer set to receive the Nordoff Robbins MusicQubed Best Newcomer Award.

"I am so honoured to be receiving this award from Nordoff Robbins, who do such amazing work helping people with music therapy" commented the singer. "I am really looking forward to the Awards. It's been such a wonderful year for me and to be getting this award is a really special one!"

David Munns – the Chairman of Nordoff-Robbins – added: "We are delighted to be presenting Jessie with this award. Having received exceptional critical acclaim across the board, a nomination in the coveted Mercury Prize for her album Devotion and two BRIT nominations, Jessie Ware was the only choice for this year’s Newcomer Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards."

Clash caught up with Jessie Ware back in January for an exclusive online interview – check out the results HERE.

One more time – here's 'Running'.

The O2 Silver Clef Awards take place on June 28th at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
