Jess Young’s ‘Butterflies’ Is A Message To Her First Love

Tune in now...

Jess Young has shared new song ‘Butterflies’.

The London figure is a real all-rounder. An always in-demand DJ, she’s also a nail artist, and the founder of Nails In Polish, a platform aiming to use nail art to tackle toxic masculinity.

Catching our attention as a songwriter, Jess Young has just shared new song ‘Butterflies’. She initially sketched it out some four years ago, initially just a spartan demo, containing little more than vocal and guitar.

Revamped for this new release, Jess Young seems to tap further into the song’s core message while continually building outwards. Jazz meets folk, shrouded by a soulful gaze, there is also a lingering awareness of club culture.

An emphatic display of her under-stated creativity, it comes with a simple but effective lyric video which pivots between dreamy artwork and her enticing songwriting.

Tune in now.
