Jeshi will release his new album ‘Airbag Woke Me Up’ in January.
A real talent, CLASH has been privileged to watch Jeshi evolve in real-time, progressing beyond the confines of his glorious debut album.
Work on a follow-up has been ongoing for some time, with Jeshi set to release his second album in January. Titled ‘Airbag Woke Me Up’ it finds him working with intention, and broadening his scope – in a note, he offers “on (debut album) ‘Universal Credit’, my voice was used in one way, whereas on this it’s used in ten ways…”
New single ‘SAINT OR SINNER’ is out now, and it finds Jeshi moving across genre lines. A colourful feast of melodic invention, the single is blessed with bars from Leicester force Sainté.
Of his new single he comments…
“‘SAINT OR SINNER’ is really about contrast and the lows inside of the highs we’ve been blessed with. Was sick linking up with Sainte for this we been fans of each other for a minute so good to have him on the album. That switch at the end still gets me every time…”
