One-time Odd Future artist jerry has shared new album ‘lovemesooner’.
The artist previously operated as HodgyBeats, a core component in the rap collective’s sound. Helping to build their inferno of noise, the producer – New Jersey-born Gerard Long – then took a step back.
Now living in Toronto with his three kids, new moniker jerry is sparked by a fresh sound. Born from a renewed creative appetite, his work has taken on a widescreen vista, packed with detail and refulgent use of audio.
Out now on his own label Poortrait Records, ‘lovemesooner’ was built alongside some close companions, notably Leland Whitty and Chester Hansen of BADBADNOTGOOD and UK producer JD. REID.
‘Kept my heart for myself’ has been halo’d as the primary single, but the full package is well worth exploring – tune in now.
