Comic book obsessive, anti-folk fumbler and prolific songsmith Jeffrey Lewis is set to return to the UK for two shows, in April and May.
From creating his own series of comics and visual entertainment to go with his live set, Jeffrey Lewis is a renowned eccentric writer, who began life in downtown New York’s open mic scene before discovering a shared interest with acts such as The Moldy Peaches.
As well as continuing his work in comics – last year contributing a strip for Mountain Goats’ LP ‘Heretic Pride’ – Lewis is perhaps best known for his “12 Crass Songs” collection, an alt folk reworking of the legendary anarcho-punk band’s back catalogue.
