Compiling new 15 track mixtape 'Tree', JD Reid decided let his ambitions have full rein, encompassing all manner of styles.

New track 'Just Now' reflects the influence of movements within London's jazz underground, featuring contributions from Henry Wu and Venna.

It's a relentless return, expertly matching sharp-edged grime elements to some deft Herbie Hancock-esque keys.

“I had the main body ready”, explains Reid, “but I felt like it needed that extra sauce, so I got together with a couple of musicians that I knew could help translate.”
