Jazz All-Stars London Brew Share ‘Raven Flies Low’

A beautiful piece of music...

Jazz-rooted project London Brew have shared new piece ‘Raven Flies Low’.

The project brings together the cream of London’s jazz community, alongside some fellow travellers in underground realms. Working from the Church in North London, the group set about re-tooling Miles Davis’ epic fusion statement ‘Bitches Brew’ in their own image.

The cast is mouth-watering: Benji BTheon CrossNubya GarciaShabaka HutchingsDave OkumuTom Skinner and more feature, brought together by producer and guitarist Martin Terefe and Executive Producer Bruce Lampcov.

Out on March 31st, ‘London Brew’ is set to be a major statement this year. Closing cut ‘Raven Flies Low’ is online now, a beautiful piece of music that matches rugged funk aspects in the beat to glorious melodies wrought from the effects-laden violin of Raven Bush.

An effervescent performance, ‘Raven Lies Low’ twinkles with light. Raven Bush comments…

“Being able to play in a beautiful studio with this amazing group of musicians was an honour. With this type of record-making process, the music is just constantly unfolding in the room, so many brilliant moments are passing you by. I’m always somewhere else during improvisations…. It was great to be reminded of this vibe we had going, I’m into it.”

“When a recording session like this happens, the amount of ideas that gets generated is considerable. I don’t know how Martin [Terefe] and Bruce [Lampcov] managed to choose what made the album, there were so many dope moments!”

Tune in now.
