Jaz Karis has shared illuminating new album ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ in full.
The new record was constructed in numerous locations around the world, with Jaz blending her travels with creativity. Part of that LDN – LA conduit, ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ takes its title from the last words her family would say in their farewells.
Informed by studio sessions in Los Angeles, shooting videos in Barbados, and living it up in Ghana, ‘SAFE FLIGHT’ remains tethered to her London roots.
Remaining true to herself, guests on the record include Mahalia, Juls, Reekado Banks, June Freedom, Tone Stith and more.
“It’s about getting free,” Jaz says, “And it’s not that I have it all figured out now or anything, but I’m on this learning curve. There’s something exciting about being on the journey.”
She continues, “The album spans different worlds, but I would like to think that soul runs throughout every song. From me to anybody listening, I hope you have a safe flight.”
