Jaydonclover’s ‘brown eyes’ Is A Soulful Reintroduction

New mixtape 'room service? volume one' is incoming...

Birmingham songwriter Jaydonclover has laid out plans for a new project.

The singer’s fantastic debut project ‘Recovering Lover’ prompted word of mouth hype on its 2019 launch, fusing spectral R&B elements with glistening electronics, and the kind of aesthetic flexibility normally associated with jazz.

Her incoming 10 track project ‘room service? volume one’ lands on October 14th, with this steadfastly independent talent opting to self-release via her own [NOSPACES] imprint.

Ahead of this, Jaydonclover has shared exquisite new song ‘Browneyes’ and it’s a super reintroduction, one driven forwards by her subtle yet intense vocal. The twilight electronics perfectly augment her vocal, while the song’s use of space captures that sense of emotional numbness.

ZekeUltra guests on the song, and his bars offset the fragile assurance of Jaydon’s own vocal. She explains…

“’Browneyes’ explores the fear of falling and not being caught, and due to the result of that, I then break. This song poses the question ‘are you going to catch me?’, which ZekeUltra perfectly explains the struggles of life that he faces as to why he might not, but later concludes the feeling is mutual.”

Catch Jaydonclvoer at a BBC Introducing show in Manchester on September 22nd, before she hits Neo Nights in Brixton Studios on September 30th.
