Hugely successful American actor Jay-Z has spoken about the new leak that has allowed fans to hear his album ‘The Blueprint 3’ before its release.
Jay-Z is one of the biggest stars in the American entertainment industry. A massively popular rapper, the hip hop icon’s relationship with Beyonce has united two of the most recognisable figures in modern music.
However the rapper’s success goes far beyond this. A former head of Def Jam Records, Jay-Z recently signed an enormous deal with Live Nation. Together with his business interests, the deal has made Jay-Z one of the wealthiest entertainers on the planet.
Which may make the recent news of an album leak easier to swallow. In preparation for some time, ‘The Blueprint 3’ was produced by Kanye West and is one of the most eagerly anticipated albums of the year.
Recent single ‘D.O.A.’ was a massive chart hit, threatening to end the auto-tune craze that has turned a generation of rappers into robots. The album contains some much talked about collaborations, with Rihanna and Luke Steele both appearing.
A recent internet leak allowed fans to gorge themselves silly on ‘The Blueprint 3’. Not due for release until September 11th, the album has already leaked with the material widely available on the internet.
Speaking to MTV News Jay-Z said “I may be the most bootlegged artist in history”.
“It’s a preview. I’m excited for people to hear the album. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done, so enjoy it.”
Jay-Z is set to release ‘The Blueprint 3’ on September 11th.
