Jay-Z has spoken out over the ongoing 'take a knee' protests in the NFL.
The movement began with just one player, before going on to become an internally discussed phenomenon.
Aiming to highlight police brutality and inequality in the United States, the action of simply 'taking a knee' during the national anthem has been condemned by NFL club owners.
Houston Texans Bob McNair remarked that “we can’t have inmates running the prison”, before later recanting his words.
Jay-Z addressed this during a show in Anaheim, California: “Injuring themselves on the field, giving it all they got. That’s how they look at you. That’s what they think about you…”
“We got so much further to go. The truth is we all believe in whatever you believe in. God, Allah. Whatever you believe in, we come from one source which means we are all brothers and sisters at the end of the day.”
