Jay-Z Prepares Greatest Hits

Due out on November 23rd

Jay-Z is preparing to release a new compilation titled ‘The Hits Collection Volume 1’.

Jay-Z has completed his journey from up and coming rapper to global star. The past fifteen years have seen the Brooklyn talent dominate the hip hop scene, releasing countless hit singles.

Once the MD Of Def Jam, Jay-Z was lured away by Live Nation who turned him into one of the highest paid entertainers in American history.

Recently storming the festival circuit, Jay-Z entertained countless thousands at events such as T In The Park. With his latest album ‘The Blueprint 3’ still a fixture on the charts, the rapper is set to compile some of his best known tracks.

‘The Hits Collection Volume 1’ is due to be released on November 23rd, with MTV reporting that the album will be available on CD and vinyl. Containing some of his best known tracks, the album will no doubt fill in the gaps for newcomers.

Alongside the ordinary release, special editions will contain additional music and a booklet. The deluxe edition will sit alongside a collector’s edition box set plus a 32 page booklet and a 100 page book.

Amongst the bonus tracks are versions of ‘Young, Gifted And Black’ and a remix of ‘My President Is Black’.

Recalling the rapper’s rise to fame, ‘The Hits Collection Volume 1’ comes as Jay-Z completes his memoirs. The Brooklyn rapper rose from humble origins to become one of the best known men on the planet.

Now married to Beyonce, the pair represent a formidable partnership in American music. Set to tell his full story, the book will also contain his lyrics – which Jay-Z is notoriously loathe to write down.
