Rap megastar Jay-Z has confirmed that he is to bring forward the release date of his new album ‘The Blueprint 3’.
‘The Blueprint 3’ is one of the most eagerly anticipated records of the year. Following on from a series of mammoth selling hip hop masterpieces, the album is Jay-Z’s first to be released under his record breaking deal with Live Nation.
Produced with Kanye West ‘The Blueprint 3’ is set to be one of the best selling albums of the year. First single off the album ‘D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune)’ was hugely controversial, leading to rumours of a row between Jay-Z and renowned autotune fan Kanye West.
However it seems the opposite is true. In a recent interview Jay-Z revealed that the anti-autotune stance was suggested by Kanye West!
Last week, though, the rapper was rocked by the news that ‘The Blueprint 3’ had been leaked across the internet. Jay-Z’s album was made available from a number of torrents, with thousands of fans grabbing an illicit listen.
In an interview following the news Jay-Z appeared non-plussed by the leak, with the rapper commenting that fans should consider it a “preview” before ‘The Blueprint 3’ actually hit the shops.
Currently at number one in the British charts with his new single, Jay-Z has now announced that the new album is set to be brought forward.
‘The Blueprint 3’ was due to be released in the United States eight years to the day after the initial ‘Blueprint’ album. However the release has now been brought forward by three days – from September 11th to September 8th.
