Former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has revealed some intriguing details about his forthcoming tour, saying in a new interview that he plans to hold discos and give lectures.
The singer is due to begin a mini-tour in his hometown of Sheffield on November 25th. Recently, Cocker has kept himself busy delivering a lecture at the In The City music conference, and the former Pulp star revealed to BBC 6Music that he plans to incorporate lectures into his live show.
“I did a couple of lectures. I’m going to try and bring a bit of that into the concert maybe, in between songs. Whether it’ll work or not, I don’t know,” he said.
“I’ve also got this idea that maybe we could in some ways try and morph the concert into a disco at the end. I’m looking into ways I could do that.”
Cocker also revealed that he would be playing some new material taken from his forthcoming solo album. The singer’s second venture under his own name, the material will no doubt include some of his his ever acerbic swipes at modern life.
