A true highlight of the station’s output, Jarvis Cocker placed his 6Music Sunday Service on hiatus at the tail end of 2013.
Becoming a roving editor for Faber & Faber, the singer also assisted in the release of the Pulp documentary ‘Pulp: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets’.
Now the iconic frontman is due to return to radio duties. Sunday Service will resume on 6Music from March 1st, with Jarvis Cocker’s dulcet tones making a welcome return to the airwaves.
"Crop Rotation has long been recognised as a way of preserving the fertility of the soil," the singer commented back in 2013. "Every now and again a field has to be left fallow for a year in order to make sure it has time to recover. In 2014, I will be that field. 'Tis done with the firm conviction that it will lead to a stronger and more vigorous Sunday Service when I return to 6 Music's pastures."
Welcome back, Jarvis!
