Jarrea Vandal's stellar DJ sets continually chafe at the boundaries around him.
Chopping up genres to create something new each time he stands at the decks, the Dutch selector matches supreme technical skills with an unrelenting passion for club culture.
His ongoing thirst for new edits comes from a desire to create something new. He explains:
"When I make edits I make them out of a certain necessity. As a DJ I feel a responsibility to play different material to the rest of the DJs out there. Sometimes I dig deeper but sometimes I choose to make an edit of a popular song or a song I like, so I don't play the original like all the other DJs do."
Set to storm The Great Escape with a special performance at the Clash showcase, Jarreau Vandal is also approaching the release of 'Vandalized Vol IV'.
His fourth collection of club-ready edits, it's teased by this incredible 10 minute mini-mix fusing together hip-hop to afrobeat, R&B, electro, and future bass.
A testament to his skill both as a DJ and producer, it matches deep cuts against chart smashes, all fused together with his remarkable, inescapable energy.
