Fife troubadour James Yorkston is set to release new single ‘Tortoise Regrets Hare’ on December 8th, with a series of tour dates planned around its release.
Emerging from the ramshackle group known as the Fence Collective, Yorkston is one of Britain’s most distinctive songwriting talents. Combining a love of traditional music with a sharp observational eye, his striking lyrics are matching by his gentle Fife brogue.
New single ‘Tortoise Regrets Hare’ is taken from his album ‘When The Haar Rolls In’. A stunning collection, the new record may well be his best to date. The single will be available as a seven inch, with close friend and fellow Fifer King Creosote adding his version of the track for the B-side.
