James Blake Wins 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Prize

For his album 'Overgrown'.

James Blake has been announced winner of the 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Prize for his album, ‘Overgrown’.

This was the second Mercury nomination for Blake, whose debut self titled album was nominated in 2011.

Previous winners of the prize include Alt J, for their album 'An Awesome Wave', in 2012 and Primal Scream, for 'Screamadelica', at the inaugural 1992 awards.
