'Lindisfarne / Unluck'

James Blake is set to release his new single 'Lindisfarne / Unluck' on June 20th.

If one album has split music fans this year, it has been James Blake's debut effort. Coming on the back of three sublime EPs and that Feist cover hopes were high that the boy wonder was set to deliver a masterpiece.

In the end, press hype helped to create a backlash before the album was even out. Definitely not dubstep - there are about two drops on the entire album - James Blake instead blurs the edges between bass music, traditional songwriting and glitchy IDM.

A hugely individual performance, live shows have seen James Blake push his music into new directions. A show at SXSW recently caused a stir Stateside, with the producer having sold over 170,000 copies of his album across the world.

Looking ahead to the summer, James Blake has confirmed plans for a new single. The double A-side release will drop on June 20th, with new edits of 'Lindisfarne / Unluck' set to be plucked from his debut album.

Two stunning cuts, 'Lindisfarne / Unluck' will be available as a digital download alongside the more traditional ten inch vinyl.

The single will accompany a new British tour, which will see James Blake collaborate with a new visual team. The producer is currently working with United Visual Artists, a lighting design group who have worked on the likes of the Massive Attack’s 100th Window world tour as well as U2’s Vertigo tour, crafting a brand new visual experience for the audience.

Currently travelling across the United States, the producer will open the British tour on June 1st in Edinburgh. Playing shows in Glasgow, Newcastle and more James Blake will hit London on June 14th.

Ending in Cardiff on June 16th, will be a chance to catch sight of an artist rapidly blossoming as a live performer.
