James will release new album ‘Yummy’ later this year.
The band are on a rich run of form – toasting their 40th anniversary in 2022, celebratory record ‘Be Opened By The Wonderful’ landed last year.
Working with alacrity, James will share something new this spring. New album ‘Yummy’ is out on April 12th – the band’s 18th studio album, it was produced by Leo Abrahams and mixed by Cenzo Townshend.
The full tracklisting will be announced shortly, with James sharing new single ‘Is This Love’ ahead of this. A soaring, sweeping return, it presents the Manchester band at their most inspired, and refulgent – lush in arrangement, potent in lyric, it could only come from one group.
Frontman Tim Booth offers…
Love as a bomb, a Tsunami that rolls over our life as we cling to the wreckage of our peace of mind.
The artwork for both the single and the album have been crafted by Studio Fury, who recently worked on the campaign for the Rolling Stones’ latest album, ‘Hackney Diamonds’.
James will complete a major UK tour in June, including The O2 Arena in London on June 15th. Tickets are on sale now.
