South London vocalist Jake Isaac stands apart from his peers.
Blessed with an incredible voice, he's able to translate classic soul influences into something refreshingly modern.
Continually seeking out fresh challenges, Jake Isaac recently started on something new, beginning with only a piano sketch.
Finding the title – '10 Steps To Heaven' – he couldn't quite finish it, until he met Andreya Triana.
The two hit it off immediately, and their chemistry transformed the song, adding new dimensions in the process.
'10 Steps To Heaven' is a beautifully balanced collaboration, the collision between their sonorous vocals resulting in some effervescent musicality.
Jake Isaac comments: "I started this song about four years ago and all I had was the song title and the piano progression. If I’m honest I was scared to finish it, because it felt so much bigger than me lol! I decided to pull myself together earlier this year and crazily ended up writing it in three hours one summers morning."
"After writing it, my first thought was I need to share this with someone… Andreya Triana, I think her voice and her art is insane! I dropped her a text, for some nuts reason she agreed, couple months later here we are!"
For her part, Andreya adds; “It was an absolute pleasure working with Jake on ’10 Steps to Heaven’. He excitedly text me asking if I’d like to guest on the track and once I’d heard the first ten seconds and I was in! I really loved the feeling and sentiment and it really felt like something I could relate to.”
