Jake Bugg Shares New Single ‘All Kinds Of People’

From his new album...

Jake Bugg returns with new single ‘All Kinds Of People’.

The Nottingham singer has always been keen to give back, whether that’s through his own charitable fund, or helping platform other organisations. Times are tough, and this sense of anger at the injustice around him fuels Jake Bugg’s incoming album.

Out on September 20th, ‘A Modern Day Distraction’ finds Jake Bugg incorporating some political themes into his work – don’t go expecting polemic, however, he just wants to showcase British life, warts ‘n’ all.

He comments: “People might say ‘What do you know?’ or ‘Just stick to music’. I’ve got a bit of money, but we all know the people this affects. I was just writing it because it was the way I felt. It pisses me off – especially in a country like ours where we have the means and funds to take care of the people suffering the most, but we choose not to.”

Out now, new single ‘All Kinds Of People’ is a plea for unity, with Jake Bugg asking people to open up to one another. Stylistically, it takes him back to his roots – Mod pop with a dash of new wave, it sounds like The Jam, or aspects of ‘London Calling’ by The Clash.

“We all have our struggles,” says Jake. “In British culture, we don’t really talk to anyone about that. You need to talk about these things with the people you love. We have to try and help each other, because there’s not much help out there.”

Tune in now.
