Production talent JAE5 has shared his new single ‘Propeller’.
Known for his association with J Hus, the studio maverick has built a singular sound, incorporating club tropes into his widescreen vision.
Making his solo debut last year, JAE5 is building his artist persona brick by brick, sharing some fantastic work in the process. Following hot on the heels of our recent heatwave, new single ‘Propeller’ is a summer-fresh burner, with the bubbling rhythm under-pinning some sizzling vocals.
Streatham wordsmith Dave links with JAE5 for the single, and his superb bars hit the South London artist’s towering standards. Alongside this, you’ll find BNXN – formerly known as Baja – who adds some Nigerian afro-fusion spice to the mixture.
JAE5 calls the single a “big link up. Buju is one of the most talented guys I’ve worked with and if you add in my guy Dave, who always kills it when we link up – you can only imagine what’s about to happen!”
For his part, BNXN adds: “‘Propeller’ is a special record. It came from JAE5 having faith in working with me when he first came to Lagos , then to me telling my story and representing for the part of the city I grew up in and finally having a class act such as Dave to bring it all to life was something the world needed to feel. I’m happy everyone can get to experience this…”
