Jack White / Keith Richards Collaboration

Guitar heroes working on new tracks

Nashville based guitar slinger Jack White has apparently been working on music with Rolling Stones axe-man Keith Richards.

Jack White seems to be using his fame and influence to live out his dreams. Moving to Nashville, the Detroit guitarist has built his own studio and founded a new label which he will use to release material by his favourite acts.

In the past Jack White has worked with some of his biggest heroes. The musician produced an album with Loretta Lynn which helped revitalise the country singer’s career. After this, Jack White surprised fans with an impromptu guitar duel with Bob Dylan.

Since then, Jack White has worked on the documentary ‘It Might Get Loud’. Together with Jimmy Page and The Edge the trio described how they began playing guitar, and also what keeps them coming back to the instrument.

Now it seems that Jack White could be set to work with Keith Richards. The Rolling Stones legend told American magazine Rolling Stone that the pair had recently laid down some tracks together.

“I enjoy working with Jack. We’ve done a couple of tracks” he said. Asked if Jack White could appear on or produce the new Stones album Richards said “I couldn’t fuel that rumor any more than to say Jack and I are in touch.”

Which, while not a denial, is pretty much par for the course from the mischief-maker who once told an interview he snorted his father’s ashes.

Jack White is, though, already familiar with The Rolling Stones. The guitarist made a guest appearance in Martin Scorcese’s 2008 documentary ‘Shine A Light’. Meanwhile, Keith Richards also revealed that he is working on his autobiography.

“I’m trying to remember things, which is very difficult” he claimed.
