Celebrated American group Islands have announced that they are to release new six song digital only EP through the music download site iTunes.
The new six song download only lives session is comprised of material primarily drawn from the band’s last album ‘Arm’s Way’. In addition to this the set will include stunning cover version’s of Spiritualized ‘Broken Heart’ and Irish singer Sinead O’ Connor’s ‘Red Football’.
Lead singer Nick Thorburn is also set to release a new mini-album with Reefer. A ‘super duo’ also featuring producer Daddy Kev, the band will release their debut mini LP digitally on October 14th through Alpha Pup.
Inspired by Hawaii, it was composed on the coastline of Maui. Containing six full songs and three interludes, the mini album will come complete with remixes from Flying Lotus and Dntel.
