Hip hop and Islam have never been seen as suitable bedfellows, despite the efforts of American Muslim Lupe Fiasco, but a new compilation of West African music may cement this link.
“Many Lessons”, a compilation of West African hip hop features a host of artists blending their music with their religion. Playing host to the talents of Bantu, Docta, Sister Fa and many more, the compilation is a unique cross spectrum of this fast emerging music.
“Many Lessons” is released on April 28th.
