Introducing… The Eyes In The Heat

Post-punk inspired Londoners

London duo The Eyes In The Heat have unveiled the clip for their new cut ‘Amateur’.

Post-punk is such a broad, all encompassing term. On paper, it can be attached to everyone from The Jam to Throbbing Gristle, The Futureheads to Factory Floor.

London newcomers The Eyes In The Heat have a definite post-punk flavour, though. The duo seem to reference the jagged punk-funk of The Bush Tetras, while their open-ended creative process recalls the approach which under-pinned some of the era’s greatest acts.

Now signed to Kill The DJ Records, Oliver Ho and Zizi Kanaan (for that is their real names) are currently preparing a new EP for release.

‘Amateur’ is set to be released on March 5th, and finds The Eyes In The Heat fusing deranged beats, blues riffs and chanting vocals. A four track release, the pair have filmed a clip for the title cut.

Shot in stark black & white, ‘Amateur’ matches The Eyes In The Heat’s stripped back music with an intriguing visual counterpoint. Watch it below.
