Introducing… The Claque

Fascinating new three-piece from Dublin...

That Dublin's music scene is in rude health right now is pretty much beyond dispute.

Almost every day we seem to be sent another SoundCloud link from the Irish capital, containing something fascinating, something deeply individual.

Next up: The Claque. Corrosive guitar noise linked to industrial electronics, the trio's avant pop instincts make each song deeply accessible.

Debut single 'Hush' b/w 'Stray' is online now, with a full 12 inch pressing in the works (which you can pre-order HERE).

Lining up as Alan Duggan, Kate Brady and Paddy Ormond, the trio are old friends, and this seems born out on the free-flowing creativity that fuels their debut release.

'Hush' has this honeyed pop element, before disintegrating into corrosive guitar effects; 'Stray' meanwhile has this slight techno influence in its use of electronics, while Kate Brady's urgent vocal leaps out from the stereo.

Tune in below.

The Claque will play their debut show in Dublin on April 27th, for full details sign up to their mailing list HERE.
