Brixton nightspot Plan B shut its doors earlier this year, with Columbo Group – owners of XOYO and The Nest – taking control.
Work has been under way ever since, with Columbo Group's Andy Peyton overseeing the creation of a new, innovative club.
New venture Phonox has now been unveiled. Andy comments: "We've got a very specific plan and set rules for ourselves to make the club into the place we want it to be: a dance floor full of people with smiles on their faces, not facing the DJ with camera phones at the ready, but enjoying the music for it's own sake."
Friday nights will alternate between fresh talent, separating the wheat from the chaff in the process. Saturday nights, though, will be given over to an as yet un-named resident who will develop a unique identity for the club.
Full information for the launch weekend is due to be announced on August 3rd.
